Observatory Urania
Zurich
2021
In the heritage-protected Urania observatory in the center of Zurich's old town, we designed the basic fit-out from the second basement to the first floor for PSP Swiss Property. For the revolutionary Nextherapy rehabilitation clinic, whose rental space is on the ground floor and first floor, the building was extended and a place of inclusion was created. The open and consistent structure of the interior sets the rhythm of the design. State-of-the-art robots that support the therapy of adults and children with disabilities are placed deliberately. New relationships are encouraged between therapists and clients. A place with views and prospects. The floor is clad with oiled oak parquet, sliding glass doors with oak frames offer opportunities for retreat and maple clad elements convey a pleasant atmosphere. Regular zoning and high-quality surfaces create a calming effect and allow for a comfortable and intimate training atmosphere.
