Residential Estate Eisvogel
Niederwangen
2013-2020
The housing Ried A “Eisvogel” has been developed on the building site 2 of the neighborhood Papillon. It is located at the entrance to the site and therefore plays a special role in terms of the urban plan. Two long volumes stand offset to each other and form a strong two-sidedness; one side of the buildings is entirely oriented towards the green, the other side faces the communal area containing all the entrances. The east-west orientation allows living areas to form on both sides of the floor plan, whereby the different qualities of the surroundings can contribute to the living experience. This idea is directly derived from the masterplan: Everyone lives in the green. In addition to a view into the distance, the residents are also offered a view of the meeting zone of the building site with its communal neighborhood functions.
