Masterplan Neumatt
Spreitenbach
2013-2016
The municipality of Spreitenbach is getting a lively center with lots of green space, attractive meeting places and around 500 flats.
The center development brings the districts of Spreitenbach together and opens up the area around the ShoppiTivoli for the population. The area around the ShoppiTivoli, which has been dominated by car parks and streets until now, will be presented with a completely new character: a generous city park, an esplanade and city gardens inviting people to linger, sports and meeting places as well as a city square will be created. The new public squares and areas differ in size, surface design and intended uses. This creates a diversity that offers something for all residents.
Approximately 500 flats are located in two high-rise buildings and an elongated base. On the ground floors there will be areas for services and cafés, which will make for a lively center. The vision of a unifying center dates back to the 1960s and was already part of the initial concept for the Spreitenbach shopping center.
